Congratulations, you've just got your Space Pilot License! You are now fit to travel the galaxy and find a role that suits you!
Trade in goods, becoming a taxi driver, hunt for treasures, hunt for pirates, be a pirate...
- Over 500 procedurally generated planets and space stations.
- 1,000's of NPC's to talk to
- Check out your SpaceBook Feed to see requests and missions
- Take on a crew
- Other stuff as well, I'm sure
- Play with Keyboard or Joystick (Supports two buttons if you have it)
- Minimum Requirements: No idea as yet. Aiming for 1MB OCS, but we'll see how it goes...
Space Fest is a game I started writing for the Amiga around 25 years ago. I loved Elite, I loved Frontier even more, but I wasn't keen on all the ships wanting to shoot you. And why couldn't you go wandering around the Space Stations?
In the late nineties, despite having a PlayStation, I would still try and code Amiga games, despite the platform being dead. One game I loved on the PSX was Final Fantasy VII... I decided that Space Fest would be a mash up of Elite and Final Fantasy VII - JRPG in space, with trading
Life got in the way, and the project got left behind.
Fast forward to a few years ago, my dad had brought down my old computers from the loft in his house, and dumped them on me. I started rooting through the Amiga discs to see if any of them survived. Some did, and one of them was the half finished game, Space Fest!
Due to a recent global pandemic, I started looking through the old code, and decided to scrap it all and start again!
Space Fest is currently in development, but hope to have a demo up here soon!
